73 Bay with 1600 over San Bernardino Pass

I know that 1800's have bigger valves because my old 2 Ltr had 1800 valve's.

The only non bolt on performance accessory I will be using is a mild performance cam. I know that it sounds like a pointless crack open; but I really don't want to steer away from reliability,
